Our spunky little guy

Figured I would give you a quick update on how things are going lately with these Mrdutts. Not a whole lot is new lately. Baby is getting big and practicing his moves. :)

Please excuse the news broadcast in the background.

If you watch around the 8 second mark you can see him doing his afternoon exercises. Unfortunately this is all I could get on camera. I think he knows when someone is paying attention because anytime I pick up the camera or have Ben try to feel these very active movements, he quits. If only others knew he does this ALL OF THE TIME! I wouldn't be surprised if he came out running :)

Lately, I am noticing more and more how my growing belly is going to affect my work, sleep, and comfort. For the most part, work is going same as always. All my farmers know of the pregnancy and they are very protective of me around cows. I have also learned to not put myself into any situations that could result in a hit to my abdomen. Besides that, sedation drugs really come in handy. Also, I swear I don't carry or clean any of my equipment anymore. Every time I go to grab stuff to carry it back out to my truck, my farmers are already doing it. I'm getting spoiled.

Regarding sleep, I have noticed in the last week or so how much the weight of the baby is throwing off my back. On Monday, I had a busy day full of surgery and was already feeling it when I got home. When I went to bed I woke up about 2 hours later with some of the worst back pain I have had so far. I even made Ben get up and rub my back because it was so tight and painful. I've tried to move into the recliner or on the couch to get more comfortable and so far it looks like the couch wins. Its going to be sad to not sleep in my bed for the next few months. :(

The nursery is moving along, just slowly. Painting is done, moving onto a wallpaper border (we changed our mind about the chair rail) and shampooing the carpet. Hopefully both will be done by the weekend so I can move in some furniture. All the baby stuff is taking up our living room.
As you can see, the cats seem to enjoy this room.

All of our doctor's checkups have gone very well. He was measuring perfectly last time and all of the blood work so far is completely normal. At our next appointment we have more labs, checking my glucose levels for gestational diabetes. In about a month our appointments move from every 4 weeks to every 2 weeks, then eventually down to every week until D-day. Just over 14 weeks to go! As of May 10th, this little guy is considered full term!
